Torn or worn upholstery is one of the most common problems in a chiropractic or PT office — and one of the most misunderstood. Most practices assume a torn pad means the table itself needs to be replaced, and end up living with visibly torn upholstery for six months or longer rather than face what they think is an expensive replacement decision. That assumption is wrong. A torn pad is a pad problem, not a table problem, and it has a straightforward fix that doesn't require taking your table out of service for weeks.

Heartbeat Fitness Repair fabricates custom replacement pads to OEM quality through a contractor we work with — for Chattanooga, Hill, Lloyd, Leander, Zenith, Thuli, and most major chiropractic and treatment table manufacturers. This isn't a generic vinyl patch; it's a purpose-fabricated replacement pad built to match your table's original specifications.
The process is built around one priority: your table stays in service the entire time. We measure your table's pad dimensions on-site — nothing is shipped anywhere for this step. The replacement pad is then fabricated off-site to OEM quality, which typically takes four to five weeks. Once it's ready, we return and install it on-site. At no point does the table itself leave your facility, and at no point is the treatment room unavailable because of the upholstery work — you keep using the table with its existing pad until the new one is ready to install.
We understand that four to five weeks can sound long if you're picturing a table sitting unused during that time — but that's not what happens. Your table keeps working. And compared to the alternative most practices default to — living with torn upholstery for six months or more because they assumed there was no good fix — a four-to-five-week custom fabrication turnaround, during which the table never stops earning, is a short wait by comparison.
Torn upholstery isn't just a cosmetic issue. Torn vinyl can't be properly disinfected, and exposed foam absorbs fluids and cannot be cleaned to standard — a real concern in a clinical setting, on top of looking unprofessional to patients and potentially affecting comfort during treatment. Fixing it properly — rather than patching it with tape or a generic cover — keeps your treatment rooms looking and functioning the way they should.
Because we're already on-site measuring your table, the same visit is a convenient time to have your other tables and equipment looked at — at no additional service call. If you've been meaning to get a broader read on your equipment but haven't had a reason to schedule a visit, a pad measurement is a low-friction way to do it, whether that's a quick look at your other tables or a conversation about an annual preventive maintenance plan for the whole office.
Beyond chiropractic and treatment tables, we also service any fitness and rehab equipment you run in the same practice — treadmills, bikes, functional trainers, NuStep, SciFit, and Biodex equipment — so upholstery and mechanical service can be scheduled together where it makes sense.
Custom pad fabrication is quoted based on your specific table and pad dimensions after an on-site measurement visit. Our service call fee is $149.99–$169.99, covering travel, a full diagnostic, and the first hour of labor. We're available Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–7:00 PM and Saturday 7:00 AM–2:00 PM.
