Traction tables carry an extra layer of mechanical complexity beyond a standard treatment table — motorized traction systems, and on many units, integrated massage or roller features layered on top of the same elevation and positioning systems every treatment table relies on. That complexity means more that can go wrong, and a broken traction table often takes a specific treatment protocol off the table entirely, not just a general-purpose room.
Heartbeat Fitness Repair services traction tables from Chattanooga, Hill, Lloyd, Leander, Zenith, Thuli, and most major manufacturers, covering the traction motor and drive system, control systems, rails and bearings, elevation systems, and upholstery. For tables with integrated massage or roller features, we service those mechanisms as part of the same visit rather than treating them as a separate system.

Bearing wear is the most frequent issue we see, since traction tables combine the same elevation and positioning load as a standard treatment table with the added motion of the traction mechanism itself — more moving parts under regular load means more points where a bearing can wear. Electronic control issues are the next most common, particularly with the switches and control boards that manage traction settings and cycling. Drop mechanism and drop section failures and worn upholstery follow behind those two. Hydraulic leaks are not a common failure point on these tables — when a traction table isn't behaving correctly, the traction motor, drive components, or electronics are the more likely culprits.
Traction tables with a built-in massage or roller function add another motor and control path that can fail independently of the traction system itself — a table can have fully functional traction while the massage feature stops responding, or the reverse. We diagnose and service these features as part of a full traction table evaluation, not as an afterthought.
A traction table out of service usually means a specific treatment protocol can't be performed for any patient scheduled for it that day, not just a general inconvenience. We diagnose and repair on-site so the table stays in your treatment room, and we identify the specific failed component — a drive motor, a control board, a worn bearing — before ordering parts, so follow-up visits are scheduled with the correct part in hand.
Like any treatment table, traction table upholstery wears from constant use and cleaning. We offer custom OEM-quality pad fabrication, measured and installed on-site, with the table staying in service during the four-to-five-week turnaround. See our upholstery and pad replacement page for details.
Our service call fee is $149.99–$169.99, covering travel, a full diagnostic, and the first hour of labor. We're available Monday–Friday 5:00 AM–7:00 PM and Saturday 7:00 AM–2:00 PM.
