Nobody likes surprises when equipment breaks. This guide explains what happens from first contact through diagnosis and approved repair, what the service call covers, how follow-up visits are billed, how to pay, and where we work. Call if anything is unclear.
Quick Reference
Service call
What you should know
Service call (diagnostic)
$149.99–$169.99 depending on location. Covers travel, a full diagnostic, and the first hour of labor. Additional parts or labor are quoted before work begins.
Fixed on the spot
A repair within the included hour with no parts needs no extra charge. Added parts or labor require a quote.
Diagnostic fee and repairs
The diagnostic fee means the service-call fee, not a separate charge. It covers travel, diagnosis, and the first labor hour; approved additional work is separate.
Return visits
Approved return visits are billed parts and labor only. No additional service call, travel, or booking fee.
Paying for service
ACH bank transfer: for a bank-initiated payment, follow invoice instructions and initiate from your bank. Check unfamiliar payment details with us.
Businesses and facilities: terms are agreed per account and shown on your quote or invoice.
Parts deposits: a deposit may be requested for special-order parts.
Where we work
Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Sarasota, Manatee, and Polk counties.
Confirm availability for the exact address; extended-area visits are scheduled by arrangement.
Make the visit go smoothly
Clear about three feet around equipment so we can reach all sides.
Have make, model, and serial number ready; a label photo works.
Tell us error codes, noises, burning smells, and when the problem began.
Keep pets and children away from the work area.
Explain building rules, elevators, parking, and check-in requirements in advance.
Step-by-Step Care
1. You contact us
Call or email with what the equipment is doing. The more detail you provide, the better prepared we arrive. See our Before You Call guide.
2. We schedule a visit
We confirm the time and address. Make sure someone can provide access to the equipment, whether in a garage, bedroom, or locked fitness room.
3. We diagnose the problem
We check power, drive, controls, and mechanical parts methodically rather than guessing and swapping parts. A simple problem may be fixed on the spot.
4. We explain what we found
We explain findings and provide a written quote for additional parts or labor before that work begins.
5. We repair it and follow up
If parts must be ordered, we explain requirements and expected timing; special-order parts may require a deposit. We schedule the return visit, install parts, and test operation. Visits and completion depend on diagnosis, parts availability, and the approved repair.
Call (727) 512-5120 or email service@theequipmentfixer.com to schedule. Pricing and policies reflect standard terms and may change; your quote and invoice are the final word for a specific job.
